What you actually get for $3.99

Unlimited is the second rung on Hostinger’s shared hosting ladder, and it is the plan we point most people toward. At $3.99 a month on the 48-month term it costs exactly one dollar more than Premium, and in exchange you get roughly double the resources, daily backups instead of weekly, a dedicated IP address and Node.js support.

The name oversells one thing. Websites are unlimited and bandwidth is unlimited, but CPU cores, RAM, disk, inodes and PHP workers are all fixed numbers. Those are the limits that decide how the plan behaves in practice, and they are what this page is really about.

The full 48 months cost $191.52, paid upfront. The crossed-out regular rate is $18.99/mo, so the advertised discount is 79% — the deepest in the lineup. Read the renewal number before you commit: $16.99/mo is the largest multiplier on any Hostinger plan, and it is the reason we tell people to think about term length rather than just the headline price.

The resources, in plain English

• 2 CPU cores — enough for WordPress plus a page builder, a forms plugin and a light ecommerce stack. Background jobs such as image regeneration, scheduled imports and backup plugins no longer stall the front end the way they do on Premium’s single core.
• 3 GB RAM, 2,048 MB PHP memory limit — a single heavy page can allocate most of that ceiling, so what actually limits you is concurrent requests rather than any one page. This is the number that decides whether a WooCommerce checkout feels instant or sticky under load.
• 50 GB NVMe — the capacity matters less than the interface. Premium’s 20 GB is SATA SSD; everything from Unlimited up is NVMe, which is substantially faster at the small random reads WordPress generates constantly.
• 600,000 inodes — inodes are files and directories. A clean WordPress install uses roughly 4,000. Cache directories, image libraries, plugin bundles and a few years of uploads are what consume the rest. On a multi-site account, inodes run out before disk does.
• 60 PHP workers — your real concurrency ceiling, up from 40 on Premium. Sixty simultaneous PHP requests comfortably handles a small store and a moderately busy blog at the same time.
• 150 databases at 3 GB each — generous if you run several WordPress installs or keep a staging clone. Note that the 3 GB is per database, not a pooled allowance.
• 5 mailboxes per website, free for one year — after year one they renew at Hostinger’s standard mailbox rate, so factor that into the cost of the second year.
• Daily backups with easy restore — the single most valuable upgrade over Premium. A broken plugin update on a Thursday becomes a two-minute rollback instead of six days of lost work.
• Dedicated IP address — useful for email reputation and for any service that needs a stable, unshared address.
• 15 AI builder credits and 500 AI agent credits — enough to generate a handful of sites and to use the Hostinger Agent for real tasks rather than as a novelty.

Who this plan is right for

Unlimited fits the site that has started to matter. A service business whose contact form brings in leads, a blog with a real audience, a small store doing tens of orders a month, a freelancer hosting four or five client sites under one account. In all of those cases the bottleneck is no longer disk space — it is CPU and concurrency, and that is exactly what this plan doubles.

It is also the right answer for anyone who wants backups they can trust. Premium’s weekly schedule is the weakest part of the cheapest plan. If losing six days of content would hurt, the dollar-a-month difference pays for itself the first time something breaks.

Where this plan starts to hurt

Two things bite: the renewal price and the shared resource pool.

The renewal is $16.99/mo. Over a 48-month term you pay $191.52; if you renew for another 48 months at the standard rate you pay closer to $815. That is not a reason to avoid the plan, but it is a reason to set a reminder rather than let auto-renewal decide for you.

The shared pool is the subtler limit. Your 2 cores, 3 GB of RAM and 60 PHP workers are divided among every website on the account. Ten quiet brochure sites are fine. Ten sites that all get a traffic spike at 7pm are not. Hostinger does not isolate resources at this tier — that is what the cloud plans are for.

There is also a real discrepancy worth knowing about. Hostinger’s marketing says “unlimited websites” on this plan, while its own parameters table lists technical caps on inodes and databases. Both statements are true; the marketing one is just less useful. Plan against the numbers, not the adjective.

A practical rule of thumb: if every site on your account could survive being offline for an hour, Unlimited is enough. If one of them takes payments or holds customer records, move to Cloud Startup where the resources are dedicated rather than shared.

How it compares to the plan below and above

Against Premium, Unlimited is the better buy for almost everyone: one dollar more for double the resources and daily backups. The only case for Premium is a single brochure site on a tight budget.

Against Cloud Startup, the trade is isolation. How to buy it without overpaying

1. Buy the 48-month term only if you are staying. $191.52 upfront for four years is a good deal if you keep the site. If there is a chance you will quit in six months, take the shorter term and accept the higher monthly rate.
2. Check the promo code field at checkout. Current codes are listed on our coupons page and are refreshed when Hostinger changes them.
3. Skip the add-on upsells. Extra storage, priority support tiers and SEO tool bundles are rarely worth it at this price point.
4. Use the free migration. If you already have a site elsewhere, Hostinger’s team will move it for you at no cost, usually within about 20 minutes and without downtime. There is no reason to do it yourself.
5. Point your free domain at the account before the first year ends. The domain is free for 12 months; after that it renews at the standard rate.
6. Set a reminder for month 46. That gives you two months to compare renewal pricing against Cloud Startup and the current pricing table before the rate changes.
