Editorial Policy
How HostScope decides what to publish, how we handle corrections, and the rules that keep commercial interests out of our recommendations.

HostScope is funded by affiliate commission, which means our editorial independence is not something readers should take on trust. It should be checkable. This page sets out the rules we work to and how you can verify them.
Editorial independence
No commercial partner has any input into what we publish. Specifically:
- Hostinger does not see articles before publication.
- Hostinger cannot request that a criticism be removed or softened.
- We do not accept payment for a review, a score, or a placement in a "best of" list.
- We do not run sponsored posts, advertorials or paid guest content.
- Commission rates do not influence which plan we recommend.
That last point is the one readers are most sceptical about, so it is worth being concrete: Hostinger's affiliate payout is a percentage of the sale, and the percentage does not differ meaningfully between Premium at $2.99/mo and Cloud Enterprise at $29.99/mo. Recommending the cheapest suitable plan does not cost us money. Recommending the wrong plan costs us the reader.

Accuracy and sourcing
Every price, specification and limit we publish comes from one of three places: Hostinger's public pricing pages, Hostinger's own technical documentation, or our own direct observation. Where we cite a number we record the date it was checked.
We do not publish statistics we cannot source. We do not invent customer quotes, survey results or benchmark figures. If a claim in an article cannot be traced to a source or to our own testing, it should not be there — and if you find one, please tell us.
Use of AI
We use AI tooling for research assistance, outline generation and copy editing. Every article is reviewed by a named human editor before publication, and every factual claim about pricing or specifications is checked against source data by that editor. We do not publish machine-generated text that has not been verified by a person.
Corrections policy
When we get something wrong we fix it, and where the error was material we add a note. To request a correction, email hello@hostscope.io with the page URL and what is incorrect. We aim to respond within two business days.
- Factual error in a price or specification: corrected immediately, with a note.
- Outdated information: updated, with the "last updated" date refreshed.
- Disagreement with an opinion: not a correction. We will consider publishing a counter-argument.
Reader contact
We read everything sent to hello@hostscope.io. Corrections, factual challenges and "this did not work for me" reports are all genuinely useful — they are how a site like this stays accurate when the underlying product changes every few months.
