Affiliate Disclosure

Short version: some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy hosting through one, Hostinger pays us a commission. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a normal link to a merchant's website with a tracking identifier attached. When you click it and then buy something, the merchant knows the sale came from us and pays a referral fee. It is the same mechanism as a discount code in a magazine, except the reader's price is unchanged and the publisher is paid by the merchant.

Our affiliate identifier with Hostinger is 109714. Every outbound Hostinger link on this site carries it and is marked with rel="sponsored", which is the standard machine-readable signal for an affiliate link.

What it costs you

Nothing. The commission comes out of Hostinger's margin, not out of your payment. If you visit hostinger.com directly and buy the same plan, you pay the same amount. There is no "reader discount" that we are withholding, and no cheaper price available by avoiding our links.

We do not accept payment for reviews, scores or placements, and we do not run sponsored content. If that ever changes, it will be labelled on the page itself.

How it affects our editorial decisions

It does not, and here is how you can check that rather than take our word for it:

• We recommend cheaper plans. Premium at $2.99/mo is our recommendation for first sites, even though Unlimited at $3.99/mo would earn us more.
• We tell people not to buy. Every plan review has a "don't buy this if…" section, and our comparison pages award rows to competitors.
• We publish the renewal price. If we were optimising for commission we would quote the introductory rate and say nothing about the increase. Every pricing table on this site includes both.
• We publish the limits. Weekly-only backups on Premium, no Node.js on the cheapest tier, the 100-site technical cap on cloud plans marketed as unlimited. These are the details an affiliate site optimising for conversion would omit.

Where affiliate links appear

Affiliate links appear on the home page, the pricing matrix, plan review pages, comparison pages, the deals page, in article call-to-action blocks, and in the floating offer bar. Articles carry a disclosure at the top. Pages that contain affiliate links are marked as such in the page source.

Links to Hostinger's own help documentation, to third-party review platforms, and to other hosting companies are not affiliate links and earn us nothing.

Other revenue

Currently there is none. HostScope is funded entirely by the Hostinger affiliate programme. We do not run display advertising, we do not sell a newsletter sponsorship, and we do not sell reader data.
